Re: Am I the only one that absolutely hates MP Megatron?
He's a pain to transform, at the least the first time, but it can be done successfully repeatedly.

Re: Am I the only one that absolutely hates MP Megatron?
I passed on him the first time 'round because of reports of the kinds of problems people are mentioning here, but then I broke down in Nov and preordered the 2nd run (he should be here this week)...

Re: Am I the only one that absolutely hates MP Megatron?
No your not the only one out there my friend, both my brother and I did not like this toy at all, and both sold off ours months within getting it.
While it's transformation, delicateness, and QC issues are all both points of contention I have with this toy the biggest reason for not being a fan is it's just not a fun toy. It might look impressive but actually trying to sit down to pose and play with this thing is next to near impossible. I don't think its even that good of a display piece, looks to tall and gangly for my tastes as well. Not to mention every time I would try and pose or stand mine it would just flop overboard most of the time. Then add up the fact that he's a QC nightmare and impossible to transform and he was just not a fun toy to have.
Either way I was very much unimpressed and not a fan of this toy nor have seen the reason for it's hype and continued popularity. I know I'm in the minority on this but my 2 cents anyway.

Re: Am I the only one that absolutely hates MP Megatron?
My friend is impressed every time he visits. Masterpiece-level figures are not "toys" really meant to be played with like you would with regular mainline Transformers. Just like you wouldn't really "play" with high-end Macross or CMS or Soul of Chogokin stuff. You can transform them every once in a while, but that's it. I like my figures to be overly complex and MP-05 certainly satisfies me on that aspect.

Ya, I have to admit that my love of him grows as I watch him sit on my dresser.
Its one of those look but don't touch scenarios.
