Re: Earth Hour

Just by turning off some lights the City of Toronto saved 200 megawatts of power. I think it's really just a measure of the needless colossal waste of energy by having all the lights in your house on. Why have anything on while watching the Leaf game

Re: Earth Hour

Huh... turns out, I had a conveniently placed nap attack at that time yesterday. The whole house wasn't off, but everything I use was.

I will say though, every year this comes up, I don't give a rats ass. It doesn't change anything, all it does is inconvenience people for an hour. After that, nobody is any more or less conscious about the energy they are using.

Re: Earth Hour

I turn everything one durring earth hour... as most dont think that the less power we all dont use it gets backed up and we need to pay the USA to take that extra power from us.... Turning stuff off does nothing to help.....

Re: Earth Hour

Pretty much. If anything, its counterproductive because it'll just get started back up anyway.

Re: Earth Hour

At the Earth Hour time, I ensured for the entire hour that my ROTF Devastator did not randomly say anything.
