Japanese "Classics" Announced

The Hasbro Classic molds are going to start to get released in Japan and according to BBTS they will be repainting the molds to make them more G1 accurate!. Bring on Megatron in Gray and Black please!!!! Even a cartoon colored Gray Astrotrain would be pretty slick .

Re: Japanese "Classics" Announced

While I don't think Hasbro would let Takara do Thudercracker and the rest of the Coneheads because of their strong stand at Botcon about "keeping the value of their exclusives", I can't see why Takara would not do it..... cause Hasbro time and time again has taken something that was SUPER RARE/EXPENSIVE in Japan and make it common place here (Red Excellion, PVC Skywarp, ect)

Daaaaamn...I gotta sell my Wave one Classics here soon...been sitting on them too long I guess, but I never imagined that TAKTOMY would release these guys...ever! Well since the paint may be diff, maybe my set will still have some value. Gonna try to get rid of them at a Transformer show here in Tokyo this weekend! Wish me luck!

I think the paint job on the Classics, except for Megatron, looks fine to me. I will prob. end up with a Megatron if it is G1 color accurate. I won't be double dipping for the rest.

Now that Takara-Tomy have their hands on the Classics, I'm more interested to see if they will do something different for the line.

I think they can improve Starscream and Megatron. And Astrotrain, if they ever release it.
