This, classics got away with a streaker repaint, mps cannot. The hood needs to be the feet, not the chest or back. Accuracy or no go
This is awesome news, so is the fort max reissue

Very surprised about this, Sideswipe is one of a very few favorite G1/G2 characters of mine, so I will be keeping an eye out for a pre-order.

To be honest, this does nothing for me. I'm probably the .01% who doesn't care. I think just having the smaller classics feels good enough to me.

This and this. Classics got away with these clever dual mode repaint/remold ideas because virtually all the characters have been modernized & updated, but when it comes to something like a Masterpiece line which is all about as close to dead-on G1 toon/toy accuracy as possible, there's not one thing that makes any sense whatsoever about repainting Sideswipe into Sunstreaker (or Punch/Counterpunch as a lot of people are also assuming).

Sunstreaker's g1 model is fairly unique as is most of the cast. To think they'd dedicate a whole mp to a character who doesn't share any similarities to the rest of the cast and therefore has no repaint opportunity is unlikely to happen.
Then again we did Grimlock so who knows, I'd be happy with mp streaker and mp streaker v2. Just the possibility of having an mp of him is exciting news be it false or not, perfect or faulty.
