Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

How big are the CHUG seekers out of curiosity?

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

Well CHUG seekers are smaller with less parts? Don't the CHUG seekers have the over-sized arm guns?

MP Seekers are more poseable and more detailed?

I like both lines. For me the CHUG ones are better to fiddle with because they are smaller (and yes more durable?). But I really like the MP detailing and larger size too. Have your cake and eat it too?

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

Hey Ironwave,
Do you already have at least 1 MP seeker?
If not, maybe you should get one and then you can see for yourself if you think is the worth the cost for the added details.

Personally, I like the MP line, and to me, it is worth the cost. But then again, I don't play with them very often. I don't have time to fiddle with them, and I do find they take me a while to transform. But it probably takes me a while because I don't have time play with them often.

But really, if you don't have an MP seeker, I suggest to get one. Then you can make a better decision on what type of collection you would like to have.

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

Hasbro has yet to release a MP-11 Skywarp, the only MP-11 SW we have is Takara's release.

@ Pandaprime, yes the Deluxe CHUGs are the ones with the oversized Null Rays. But there's a 3rd party company that does an upgrade kit Null Rays for the Seeker mold, they are more smaller and slickier and they can aim with ease.

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

If you meant the original classic seeker mold, they are awfully outdated now. No balljoint head, no bicep swivel, no wrist swivel, no thigh swivel, no ankle tilt. They look good standing there, but that's about it. I am looking for some of them for completeness, but wouldn't pay more than $10 each. I really hope Hasbro would release either an update or a voyager sized toy to replace them.

The MP seekers are also not very good, but not as outdated. They got great alt modes and fairly posable robot mode.

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

the MP seekers, takara just introduced the cone heads to go with the original 3. Soon when they are released, you can catch em all.
I don't think these MP figures go down in price ever, or I would own a lot more of them.

On my shelf, I've got the CHUG cone heads standing behind the deluxe Fall of Cybertron figures. Gives some contrast and mold variety. I also have a chug starscream sitting on my 86 movie shelf.

Maybe concentrate on your education first. Put all your funds into your schooling (given that I have no clue as to what your financial situation is). Then once you have the extra money create a budget and buy what you like and can afford. Good luck.

Yeah that's what I'm doing. And once I finished school and landed a job in my field, I can start the hobby again. I mean, they're toys and they will always be around if not in retail stores at least in secondary markets like the boards here, even if they're hard to find figures, I'm sure someone will have it and sell it

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

The chug seekers were great IMO

Well engineered and cheap not to mention you don't need as much room to collect them.

If you can afford them and have the room MP's all the way fantastic for static display EDIT: ( They are a bit harder to tranform though ) so I guess if you want to play& transform alot I might stick with Chugs)

Re: Masterpiece Seekers or CHUG Seekers

Chug stuff is dropping in price.

The Titan wars line is rereleasing so many of the classics figures.

I own a few of all the Hasbro seekers, I would sell them all for 60 a pop in a heartbeat.

Would expect more like 25.00

They come up often.

But I love them.

Classics got me back on board with tfs and you couldn't ask for a better update of the g1 figures.

Most of them kept pretty true in design while still managing to update.

You could say the same for a lot of the Titans stuff thoguh.
