Takara Brave Maximus, should I?
I just found a pre-owned Brave Maximus in Japan for sale at 330USD. Condition is C-8 with slight color fading, other than that everything is in very good condition and no missing parts nor the manual. Box is a bit damaged but this is normal.
I know reissue Fort Max is coming soon but I really like the color scheme of Brave Max more than Fort Max.
This is the first time i wanted to get the biggest TF. Is the price right? Should i go for it?
Thank everyone.

Thanks, that's really supportive. I was hoping to hear answers like that. I'm in a dilemma between choosing the one i really like or wait for the reissue fort max.

Re: Takara Brave Maximus, should I?
I would go for the reissue since I like the G1 color better.

I would get the reissue, personally. I like it better and you get more accessories.

Re: Takara Brave Maximus, should I?
Yeah I agree about getting the reissue and for 70.00 more you get brand new no fading and more stuff. If you are already spending a lot of money on a used one that is my recomendation to go brand new for the extra cash.

The only thing we're not sure of yet is the quality of the Fort Max reissue.

Re: Takara Brave Maximus, should I?
I have Brave Max, and wish he was that cheap when I got him. I also prefer his colors better.
I'd say to get him, if you like him better. Rather than a new Fort Max if every time you look at him you keep thinking you like the other color scheme better.
I thought about getting a nice minty new version.. But I don't care for the blue and white. And no matter how new and fresh it is won't change that for me.
It will cost more, but you can always get the extra pieces from repro parts and such on Ebay. I picked up everything to 'Complete' mine over time.

Re: Takara Brave Maximus, should I?
I own them both, they're both amazing...the only thing I don't like about Brave Max is the bright clear green cover on his shoulder, but overall the color scheme is more subdued and the figure looks great...classy.
You won't get the little extra figure (OMG I forget his name) nor the big weapons, not sure if that matters...
But consider that Fort Max is the true G1 scheme, so if you ever start collecting Headmasters, you'll want a Fort Max.

Thank you.. actually we have the same thought. i don't mind not getting all the extra stuff that came with Fort Max.
Now my only concern is, is it worth it? $330 for a C-8 figure.
