Re: Combiner Wars/Generations

I'm kinda banking on a Takara 3-pack in a year or so. Dunno if it's worth the wait, though, even theoretically.

Takara apparently has Skrapnel/Shrapnel and Bombshell up for preorder but they don't show the decos =/ Here's the links from BBTS if you are interested. Maybe they will give them both the same kind of deco?

Re: Combiner Wars/Generations

I also made the impulse buy of Skrapnel after finally locating him locally. Totally not as cool looking as the photos I saw online, and I'm glad I didn't pay much for him. I'll pick up Bombshell from CW if only to have all three, even though none are in scale to each other. From the pics I've seen, Bombshell seems to be the best of the bunch.

But here's a stupid question: why was Bombshell allowed to keep his name, and Shrapnel was dulled down to Skrapnel?...Bombshell has the word "BOMB" in it, for crying out loud, like kids even know what shrapnel is!?! Funny though, but back in the 80s I loved looking up my favorite TF names in the dictionary just to find out what they meant.

But yes, Skrapnel is the weakest looking of the three, if only due to size and the non-matching paint. At this rate, I just might have to buy whatever the new semi-secret version of Devastator is coming down the line!...I gotta get back to my MP and Encore focus

Interesting, thanks.

@Canbot

Bombshell was renamed to Hardshell in the original Hasbro Commemorative Insecticon Reissue set I own. And Shrapnel was renamed to Sharpshot. So yah it make no sense how and why they choose to rename a character

Re: Combiner Wars/Generations

I like all the CW toys actually. I also like the fact that the transformation process allows to use the Ultra Prime's head as Prime head. It look a bit weird but it fits better in term of proportions.

Re: Combiner Wars/Generations

Are the CW Bombshells out in the majority of Walmarts out there?...of course, none near me. But then, neither was Skrapnel about four months ago, now there's like 8.

Re: Combiner Wars/Generations

The new toys have only been released at TRU so far I think.
