Re: Transformers 4 Age Of Extinction Shatters Box-Office Records For 2014

I really hope this movie does well enough to gain more movies done by Bay. Not because I did enjoy this movie, not because I am a Bayverse fan but because seeing grown men on the internet complain about their childhoods is a amusing. I loved G1, but it wasn't perfect. Nothing is perfect and nothing will ever be perfect.

T4 does have some positives going for it. There isn't another blockbuster out for a few weeks and July 4th is around the corner. Unfortunately the delay from the World Cup may hinder the performance, but if Asia is any indication, it may not matter.

It could be worse... GIJoe shit the bed and is pretty well dead.

I'm not a fan of TF crossovers, I am so happy they won't make some kind of crossover movie.

I am VERY tired of this argument popping up, that because you hate the Bay movies you're obviously an overdramatic crybaby going "WAAAH! HE RAPED MY CHILDHOOD!"

SCREW THAT NOISE! G1 was friggin' TERRIBLE! Beyond the 'More than Meets the Eyes' multiparter it had TERRIBLE writting, funny voices in place of personality and some of the cheapest animation of its days with some horrendous animation error EVERYWHERE!

Even there I STILL hate the Bay movies! Not because it's taking something from my childhood, because they are TERRIBLE movies!

It pains me when crappy boring explosionfests can trick people into theatres with a clever trailer. Augh.

Oh, no. Not everyone who hates Bayverse I think is pro-G1. I love G1, I'm not a Bayverse fan entirely but I do like this movie. I am just saying that the majority comments concerning why they hate Bayverse it is always:

- My childhood omg whhhhy
- G1 was so much better
- 86 movie was so much better then this
- Don't watch it because they will ruin your childhood
- I watched Transformers in the 80's and they were so much better then this
- So and so character wouldn't do this or that in G1 or Beast Wars, or the 86 movie
- WHERE IS MY 86 MOVIE REMAKE OMFGHSSG!
etc etc

SIGH

There is people out there that just hate the movie or the universe as a whole for their own reasons just like how I am not an Avengers movie fan, the only thing is the most stuff I read on the internet since AOE was announced was about their childhoods being slain by garbage. Or people formulate their opinions based on their childhood transformers. I think Prime also suffered this, and I am sure IDW goes through it too. Gotta let it go~

Also doesn't mean interest will fade either.

Good to know! I hate the Bay movies because they give action movie a bad name and have terrible characterisation and cinematography.
