I decided to use some of my scrap pine from building my cabinets to make a Poster lightbox. The result is below. Need to secure the wiring before hanging it, but it's looking pretty mint. I'll update tonight with some hanging images on the wall and the autobot symbol I did in a similar fashion.
For anyone interested, It's made of pine, 18 x 24 2" depth. Two Strips of LED's power the lights from flexfire LED, they are BRIGHT and work perfectly to showcase the image. The image itself is a backlit print. Normal posters work too but the colors get a little washed out. With a backlit print or a duratrans, you get a nice punch to the colors.
The back is lined with heat resistant foil tape which also bounces the light around. The frame is from walmart and sealed with plexi on the front and a thicker sheet of plexi behind the poster to diffuse the LED Lights for a more even spread.
If anyone is going to attempt this, use LED's that generate low heat, some of the rope LED's get quite hot.
