I would have still gone with AE, because going through BBTS you get the higher shipping (without tracking) and customs fees. Which is enough reason, IMO. I've had great service through AE.

I'm just surprised AE even had it in stock at all, to be honest. They didn't carry Ramjet.

Maybe they'll get a resupply, who knows. Won't hold my breath.

I'm sick of these mall exclusive figures, it makes them so expensive and not worth the price. Exclusives like this should not be main characters like cone heads or a full combiner team, they should be like battle gia or some special repaint.

Yes, I completely agree. I really want these characters, but will not succumb to those prices. Bring on Takara retail release or Hasbro... heck 3rd party even.

Are they underestimating the demand, or are they playing it safe and getting huge returns with selling limited amounts, hmmm.

Decepticons historically don't sell as well in Japan than Autobots which could be why they decided to produce them in advertised limited amounts as mall exclusives. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of their sales of Decepticons were international sales. But then again they are probably just getting huge returns on them as they don't have to pay licensing fees with that mold.

Right, I see. Yeah the non-licensing, mould re-use and mark up really have got them covered.

Transformers unite defensor was also a takara mall exclusive and cost quite a but more than the other releases, almost as much as takara devaststor.

I will have one to go with my Ramjet. I am glad that I am trying to stick to strictly MP figures this year so I will be able to pick this up
