French names for movie-verse characters

During G1 (and BW maybe? can't be sure), they used to give french names to Transformers here. What do you suggest for movie-verse characters?

Here, I'm using a mix of the official french G1 names with some I made up.

MOVIE 1

Optimus Prime = Optimus Primo
Megatron = Mégatron
Starscream = Égo
Brawl = Bagarreur
Blackout = Survolteur
Bumblebee = Bourdon
Jazz = Saxo
Ratchet = Mécano
Ironhide = Rhino
Frenzy = Frénétik
Barricade = Barricade
Scorponok = Scorponok

MOVIE 2

Optimus Prime = Optimus Primo
Megatron = Mégatron
Starscream = Égo
The Fallen = Le Déchu
Bumblebee = Bourdon
Ratchet = Mécano
Ironhide = Rhino
Sideswipe = Dérapeur
Wheelie = Tourbillo
Skids = Embrayo (you just can't call that one Plato!)
Mudflap = Débrayo
Rampage = Furibo
Long Haul = Costo
Mixmaster = Malaxo
Scrapper = Bricolo
High Tower = Toubib
Scavenger = Excavo
Devastator = Dévastateur
Ravage = Saboteur
Jolt = Cahot
Sideways = Louvoyeur
Scalpel = Scalpel

I don't like the names Ego and Rhino, but the others are pretty good.

Re: French names for movie-verse characters

So Basically

MOVIE 1

Optimus Prime = Optimus Prime
Megatron = Megatron
Starscream = Ego
Brawl = Brawler
Blackout = Booster
Bumblebee = Bumblebee
Jazz = Sax
Ratchet = Ratchet
Ironhide = Rhino
Frenzy = Frenetic
Barricade = Barricade
Scorponok = Scorponok

MOVIE 2

Optimus Prime = Optimus Prime
Megatron = Megatron
Starscream = Ego
The Fallen = The Desposed One
Bumblebee = Bumblebee
Ratchet = Ratchet
Ironhide = Rhino
Sideswipe = Skid Car
Wheelie = Swirl
Skids = Embrayo (??) I can't figure out these two
Mudflap = Débrayo (??)
Rampage = Furious
Long Haul = Costo (??)
Mixmaster = Mix Max
Scrapper = Do it yourselfer (LOL!)
High Tower = Doctor (umm what?)
Scavenger = Excavator
Devastator = Devastator
Ravage = Sabotager
Jolt = Bump
Sideways = Pipe removing Machine
Scalpel = Scalpel

I could be wrong on alot of these. My french is *really* rusty.

Cheers!

Re: French names for movie-verse characters

I'm not totally certain but at the time wasn't Optimus Primo used as a translation mostly for the toy and Optimus Prime (french pronounciation) or Optimus Primus for the french version of the cartoon?

Correct! I think I prefer Optimus Primus over Primo and Prime in french.

Re: French names for movie-verse characters

The french version of TF 2007 didn't have name changes and no doubt neither did ROTF. Heck EVEN IN JAPAN, Optimus Prime was called Optimus Prime not Convoy over there.
