I got an Insecticon vibe from him. The pincers on the back remind me of Shrapnel and the way the back part of the cab folds up is like a carapace. The spindly limbs also seemed insect-like.

The fingers are not likely to break off. The whole hand is softer plastic. That worries me a little bit, but you'll either lose the whole hand or be okay -- the middle finger is not going anywhere by itself.
