Modded Classics Inferno
A guy on TFW came up with this easy mod.
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radico...8-inferno.html
It comes from a TRU toy set by Fastlane. It is an emergency set. The size of a small suitcase. But only like 2 inches thick. It was $19.99
I dyed it with cocoa brown color Rit dye to try and color match the light red to Inferno's darker red.
I think I might re-position the ladder forward as the rear end hangs a little far back.

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
That looks really good, excellent work. Makes me wish I had a steadier hand.

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
Very nice. What are you going to do with the weapon in vehicle mode?

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
That's pretty sweet. I'd love to see it transformed. Question is are you the type of person to return the fire truck because it has a missing ladder?

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
Hummm I'm going to have to be the unfortunate "ney sayer" sadly, as I think it absolutely dwarfs the fire engine.

Don't feel hated. Not every comment has to be positive, otherwise customs don't get better. I do see your point.

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
It does dwarf the engine a bit. But according to frenzy rumble there is one at kmart that fits too. I have yet to see it even online. Until I find a better ladder, especially one that telescopes out, then this one will do for now. Also if you notice, the ladder is not fully extended.
But to answer your question, No I will not return it. I can donate it to toys for tots or use it as trade fodder at a local used toy shop.

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
Thank you. But I have done things like that in the past. Anyway if you check out the original mod on tfw, the guy shortened the ladder for a more pleasing look. I may try that.

Re: Modded Classics Inferno
Awesome idea, and great that you found one that works, I just think it looks odd because how short the fire-truck is. Good paint job to match it though
