I have had enough of G1 Prime reissues. I have my fair share... like 5. I know some collectors have way more, original and reissues alike, but to ne I have had it all: long smoke stacks, short smoke stacks, anime accurate face... even an iPod speakers trailer. I even still have a late production original around. I supposed there are always someone who wants to relive their childhood but I think Hasbro should move on (like Hound... it has been reissued by TakaraTomy a long time ago when it was still called “Takara”. Or Metroplex from the Encore line)

Definitely not. The cab has some nostalgia value, but there've been a million other versions with far better engineering, including the Siege version which is still on shelves and the Bumblebee version which will be arriving shortly. The only part of the G1 Prime toy that still holds up is the trailer, and it's not included with this release.

Not only that, but how can the price be defended for a trailer lacking Prime, and yet people still complain about Siege Shockwave being over priced. I was going to get Shockwave when he finally shows around here regardless of the price, but compared to this reissue, he now feels like I'd be getting a deal in comparison.

You know what's funny? We have people in this thread swearing this figure off due to the price while we have people in the sightings thread scambling to find one and jumping in the car as soon as a sighting hits.

I wonder how much Prime would go for if Hasbro included the trailer. Maybe jack up the price more just to include additional stickers for inside and outside. Maybe include a Year of the Pig sticker for the trailer to celebrate Chinese New year and sell it for over $100.

Some wanted another G1 reissue OP, may be I am not one of them. I’d rather get that new SS “Bee” Prime. I just wanted the 2 Minibots from this wave and since these have been found in the wild down South I hope to find them here soon.
