Best Buy was sold out of the gift set when I got there so I just got the 2 disc version. Was a little PO'd about that, but after finding out that we dont get the Robot Heroes and seeing the artbook, I'm not too mad anymore.

Although when I was standing in line I did do a little bit of snooping. Out of the 11 people in line that I could see, 9 of them had TF. And it's not like I was there at 10am, this was about 5:15 in the afternoon. Thought that was pretty amusing.

I just finished watching the walmart exclusive dvd and I loved the animated short. Thank god for frank walker!!!!!!!!!! The prelude comics and ghost of yesterday made the movie even more exciting for me. Now i am off too watch the movie. Thanks wally mart!!

Is there some more info on the prequel cartoon? Is it CG or regular animation? How long is it?

I ended up getting the Futureshop Destroy metal case. I was planning on getting the Walmart edition because of the "animated" feature until I found out it was the single disc only version with a condensed slideshow of the prequel comics.

All these exclusive editions I find really insulting to the fans. Knowing they have a fanatical collector-minded fanbase, seems like they're taking advantage of the fans. I'm not buying multiple copies of the same movie in order to get all the exclusive content. If I end up seeing the "animated" comic online I'll probably download it and watch it, but I've already bought and read the comics.

To everyone their own. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy both. I just came from the same FS and they were totally sold out of both covers. I know that it's been 2 days since it came out...but still...arrg.
