How excited? When Sam witwicky found out his ex-girlfriend became a reporter and fall in love with Turtles....
That will also justify why new Bayformers are turtle-shellformers

A large part of me longs for the days I hungrily leafed through the old black and white Eastman and Laird graphic novels in the 80s, cause this shit feels trite and done before.

Yeah, I was happy with the teaser. Still want to see Splinter and part of me is REALLY hoping that Fichtner is Shredder's lacky and not Shredder/ Oroku himself.
They say hero's aren't born, they are created. so it is possible Fichtner's character creates Shredder, be it himself or android body perhaps. Who knows. Time will tell.
