G1 was based on a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, yes. I was going off of the wiki for the CW figure, since Broadside's little planes are based on them.

Then again, since they're so small I could have used that plane.

My original guestimates put Metroplex closer to 3 km tall, I think this 880 meters one is better and closer to what was intended. Seems a little more "realistic" (with a HEAVY suspension of disbelief). I mean, half that height might be even closer to what was intended as a Titan's height.

The toys are scaled for child-age human beings to play with them in a functional and enjoyable way on a case by case basis. I don't let scale bug me as an adult, this was just a fun little thing to do.
It was a cool comparison. Glad I saw it. I think we do the best we can and depends how you see scale and what you compare - bots or vehicles. I tend to go bots but there are benchmarks I use, like who should be bigger or smaller than leader class Sky fire? By how much bigger or smaller, that's neither here nor there really, as long as the toy is functional and fun.

Youre saying broadsides planes are small not a phantom right? Its actually a pretty huge plane. Was surprised. Its much bigger than a harrier and falcon.
