True, haha!! My little guy is only 4 so I think the Macross 1/48 is too advanced right now - wanting something a bit more transform-friendly..

I gave him a MP Bumblebee and he is VERY respectful of it, and can transform it better than I can I'm sure lol. He's had it for several months now and he takes care of it very well, even returning everything to it's packaging from time-to-time,

I have the 1/48 VF-1S with Super and Strike parts already for my own collection - and I am trying to mirror my My Masterpiece collection with his G1 collection, which is why I'm after the 1/55.

How about this GI Joe Skystriker G1 Jetfire redeco? This seller is in my neck of woods. I could help you get it.

Sure...it doesn't transform but your little guy would love flying his 3 3/4" figures in it. My 3 year old loves vehicles with drivers/pilots, and when my 8 year old was smaller he loved flying his actions figures around (all my old Star Wars and GI Joes)

My lil' guy is OBSESSED with the actual transformation process and I'm sure he could master any TF I threw at him. He even runs around the house, jumps in the air while making transformation sounds - drops to his knees - 'drives' along the floor, then reverses his transformation, swinging his legs and striking a pose lol - I'm pretty set on G1 style transformers for him

When I still owned CHUGs my firstborn loved Classics Jetfire which was a relief since I didn't have to take G1 Jetfire out of the DETOLF for him.

It's an underrated mold that is sturdy enough to actually play with and he was able to convert him at age 4. Only the helmet antenna fell victim to his rough play. 3 out of the 4 snapped off.

An alternative to consider if your Bandai 1/55th search falls through.

Yeah, I'm really not a fan of most all newer hasbro TF designs with the exception of MPs. Even the TFs after season 2 I really did not care for. I'm a bit of a snob lol

edit - makes narrowing my collection pretty straight forward though lol

Cannot argue with you there...liquidated all of my collection except for G1 and corresponding MPs for that same reason.

I'll keep my eyes peeled West of The Rockies for that 1/55th Valkyrie for you.
