I don't know if it's Tru or Hasbro (platinum stuff is expensive elsewhere) but regardless, primal is the single worst offender.
The 110 planet of junk set being the second. Essentially 40 a deluxe including two dupes, an INCREDIBLY old classics mold, and lousy decos on all three.
You can tell the huge clearance on platinum stuff is *starting* to affect MSRP. The Cyclonus/sweeps set, ostensibly the exact same thing, was 80. Still expensive for three deluxes? Yes. But much closer to being reasonable (also, they are sexy decos, gen Cyclonus tends to be min 25 on the aftermarket, also I got it for 42).
Cause Tru can't be happy with all these HUGE boxed sets that take up tons of aisle space and don't sell until on deep clearance. Anyway. I'd love for somebody from Hasbro to give an honest response to the shitty platinum banner, even if they response is "were robbing you blind."
