When I search on WalMart.ca or Amazon I always filter to "sold and shipped by (amazon.ca)(walmart.ca)". Means I only get shit that is coming from them and not the captain wacky.

And even then, some 3rd party seller items still manage to show up in WalMart only listings.

The reason stores like Amazon, BestBuy or Walmart allow 3rd party sellers is because the stores take a cut of the sale. Kind of like Ebay does.

As for why 3rd party sellers set prices so high, I imagine it's because once, one mom who did no shopping around paid the crazy amount and they're living on hope it will happen again. It's got to be something like that....Or, judging by the craziness of the prices, crack is a strong possibility as well.

For the past few days, Earthrise Optimus is available on Walmart.ca, but sold through Cmdstore. Only $86.19. It shows up even if I filter out third party. SS Optimus is $109.19.

I noticed that too.

Cmdstore and a couple others are not affected by the Walmart only filter because they offer in-store pickup. If you are willing to drive or ship your product to the designated Walmart at your own cost / reduced cost, then they will allow the filter to show your product.

However these sellers are not subject to any deals on shipping. That ER Prime is almost $16 shipped, making it a $115 kick in the gnads.

I remember going to an Ottawa Comic Con, went into their tables/area
They had a CW Liokaiser set for some goddamned ridiculous price, I can't remember exactly how much

I remember it because I was in the market for one at the time, and saw it, and then saw the pricetag and was like HA no thanks

Then later I would see the same Liokaiser set (presumably, cause same price) on WM's site "sold by CMDstore"
