Re: POTP impressions

I have bought all but Leader Prime and Beachcomber so far but I am liking the line outside of some quality issue. As odd as he looks, Starscream ended up being the combiner that actually stands up straight, and can fully extend his arms without falling over. And I have almost all of them so its impressive to me.

Aww. I didn’t know that. That sucks. There is so much fun potential there too, like a Megatron that evolves into Galvatron. Bah.

Re: POTP impressions

Interested to see how abominus feels in hand, as well as what PE will release kit wise... as this was one of the G1 gestalts I had as a kid... Also can't wait for Predaking... so I can have one that I can play with... depending on price of course. Otherwise all I have bought are the legend pretenders just for SNG... as I had them as well when I was a kid.. otherwise not touching this line.... won't get roped into it like CW... then sell everything off.

Re: POTP impressions

I bought the leader class Rodimus Prime, like it a lot.
With small improvement from OpenAndPlay (I hope), this can be a MP level toy.

Re: POTP impressions

Aside from Swoop's beak (which is floppy) I am not seeing the QC issues that other's are noticing. Don't get me wrong, the figures are not 100% perfect, but the QC is not noticeably lower than for Combiner Wars or Titans Return.

I'm also liking Rodimus more than I originally expected given many of the negative comments I have seen about him. Not perfect, but pretty darn good.

Also: where's the love for Beachcomber? He's the only transformer geologist, people! Did you hear? ...GEOLOGIST! That deserves something!

(OK. I'm a professional geologist. I'm biased…)

Re: POTP impressions

Love the Optimus Prime!!!!!! Probably my second (or third) favourite after MP and G1. The Orion Pax is just added awesome sauce!!!!

Not a fan of the Rodimus Prime. Parts forming and too much kibble make for a poor design and hollow spaces.

However I love the leader concept of two figures in one and can't wait for Primal.

I like how he's kind of squat and fat. lol. He's a fun little toy.

I keep seeing posts about Swoop's floppy beak but mine isn't. And yeah, no real QC issues at all. normal shit for generations for years.
