Re: Metroplex up for pre-order on Toysrus.ca
I don't know about you, but $140 for a "MOMMYMOMMYIWANTIT!!!" factor is quite steep. I would have thought at that price point, it falls under the "If you're very good between now and Xmas, then maybe Santa will bring it down the chimney" category.

Re: Metroplex up for pre-order on Toysrus.ca
This thing is most likely purchase by teenager and adult collectors... The mommy must be nuts to buy it for a young infant. There are too many small parts and it is too complicated for kids to play with. Guys with kids will know what I am saying..

It's possible this may happen, but as I said above, when I bought the huge Galactus, he has 11 phrases and not one of them is in french.

But Metroplex doesn't transform. He just sits down, spreads his legs, and stretches his arms.

Re: Metroplex up for pre-order on Toysrus.ca
Laffy.
You have to realize, some people rather have MP figures than a Metroplex, not everyone wants one.
Also the price, if it is going to be $140 retail, it would be hard to pay that price for a lot of collectors or parents who want to buy Metroplex for their kids. The size of this thing is MASSIVE, no joke, I slapped myself to just realize how wrong I was, its the same height as a human 5-6 year old, so someone might not have the space to own such a thing.

Re: Metroplex up for pre-order on Toysrus.ca
His price just jumped $10 in the span of about 6 hours...talk about inflation. At least the free shipping and thyme15 % deal helps.

Re: Metroplex up for pre-order on Toysrus.ca
I'll try to get him on a sale. The first appearances of the guy will sell out hard, but I won't be surprised to see him start to shelfwarm just due to pricepoint. That is, if distribution bothers to kick in before Christmas and there are current TFs on the shelves. Y'know.

No one is going to buy Metroplex for their kids....trust me, unless if the dad wants to play with it, same goes with Masterpiece figures. I don't know if u have a kid, but it is very trouble and dangerous when u buy things with small parts for kids to play with... they basically put everything in their mouth... or get cut from sharp edges. Metroplex is probably aim for teenagers and adults as I have said before. Parents probably prefer buying those Prime Optimus and Prime Bumblebee that has no articulation that has released earlier. I have noticed those things are moving at local toy's r us. And I am seriously tempted to buy those for kids' birthday, because non of those deluxe, voyager and leader is safe for kids. I think toys company is doing the same with ironman, superman, power rangers, etc if u check out what's out there at Toy's R Us.
