Re: Hasbro Movie MP Bumblebee pre-order
Completely different. Previous "MP" Bumblebee was just Battle Ops BB (including the electronics) with a fancy paint job. This one is a totally new mold with die-cast, rubber tires and no electronics.

Re: Hasbro Movie MP Bumblebee pre-order
...rubber tires? Really? To me, that's actually a deterrent...they never seem to make TFs with the right kind of rubber to last for the long run.
It's going to look and feel great though...wonder if Prime is getting rubber tires too?

Re: Hasbro Movie MP Bumblebee pre-order
G1, RID, Hybrid Style, Binaltech, Alternators, Alternity, never had issues with rubber tires. You'll probably get tired of the hobby before they give up.
Edit: Actually no, the tires on my RID Prime (2000) did split badly, but I glued them back and later sold it. The Car Robots version that I now have is fine.

Re: Hasbro Movie MP Bumblebee pre-order
Given a choice, I'd go non-rubber. Something is beginning to make me think that this isn't going to be full line...maybe these two, and, even though Barricade has been rumoured, then done. I'm just thinking why they'd go one way with the MP line, and then another with the MPM line. Just seems like something a company like Takara would do for a limited edition line. Just a thought.
Are the Hasbro ones also going to get rubber tires?...I don't even know if anyone has mentioned what the differences are going to be (if any, I hope not).

Re: Hasbro Movie MP Bumblebee pre-order
I think they're supposed to be identical, it's a joint venture between Hasbro and Takara (as opposed to a Takara product repurposed for the rest of the world under the Hasbro banner).

Re: Hasbro Movie MP Bumblebee pre-order
I've preordered both MPM03 and MPM04 from TF-Direct. Combined gives free shipping makes up for the extra cost on bumble bee. not sure why MPM04 Prime is only $5US more than MpM03, that's like Takara preorder discounted price.. hopefully it works out.

You mean Prime is up for preorder too? GAH...I'm behind the 8Ball. I've never ordered TF direct...they're in the US?
I haven't heard of anything at Anime Export, probably not going to get them there I'd say at this rate.
Remember to keep an eye out for anything on TRU.ca ...so we can pass it on to anyone in this thread via PM
*crikey, just checked out asking price at TF Direct...yikes. I shall pass

No news yet on my side...should be popping up on toysrus.ca soon, so perhaps be on the lookout
