Question(newbie) about Hasbro MP

Hi guys,
I have just started collecting transformers but only the new masterpieces made by Hasbro. Recently they released MP-01 Acid Storm and MP-02 Soundwave but whats next? MP-03? Are they rebooting the MP line and will they release 30 MP in total?

They kind of rebooted the MP line, but those "/30" numbers actually refer to their "Thrilling 30" 30th anniversary promotion, which is going to be 30 "special" figures.

So far we know of the following figures:

Platinum Series Beast Hunters Weaponizer Ultra Magnus
Platinum Series Grimlock VS Bruticus Giftset
Generation 1 Reissue Predaking (sporting an additional sword accessory redecoed from Beast Hunters Voyager Optimus Prime)
Masterpiece Acid Storm
Masterpiece Soundwave

On the side of those boxes it says 8 of 30 and 9 of 30 I believe. I think the 30 refers to the "thrilling 30" countdown. The MP-01 and MP-02 I'm not sure why they went this route with the recent MPs. My hope is its the start of Hasbro reissuing the MP line.

Good question you two, so I went to tfwiki to get a more complete list. There is both a "Thrilling 30" line (which replaced Generations), and also 30 "exclusive Thrilling 30" figures. The later that we know of so far are:

01 – SDCC 2013 Metroplex
02 – SDCC 2013 Prime: Beast Hunters Shockwave’s Lab
03 – Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus
04 – Platinum Edition Grimlock vs. Bruticus
05 – ACGHK 2013 Metroplex
06 – Cybertron Con 2013 Prime: Beast Hunters Shockwave’s Lab
07 – Cybertron Con 2013 Prime: Beast Hunters Beast Hunter Optimus Prime
08 – Masterpiece Acid Storm
09 – Masterpiece Soundwave
10 – Platinum Edition Predaking
11 – Construct-Bots Predaking
30 – Fan Built Bot Windblade

It looks like the cybertron Omega Supreme and Optimus Prime are "Year of the Snake" and not part of the thrilling 30.

I'm fairly sure the /30 numbered transformers connects to the platinum line. I confused that toy line with the thrilling 30 line which like you said is just a sub section of the generations line. This link http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers:_Platinum_Edition shows the released transformers that are a part of that numbered /30 platinum line
