Re: Post your TFcon Toronto Hauls 2015

It seems I buy fewer and fewer toys each time I come to one of these (not necessarily due to lack of selection... I just don't like to miss panels... though I also don't buy 3rd party stuff, so that might also be a factor), but here's what I got:

G1 Galvatron: C8 Complete with Box and Instructions- $70 CDN

G1 Nautilator: C9 Complete with Card- $65 CDN

I picked up the Nautilator from Russ. Apparently, it would have been cheaper if I had paid with American money. Maybe I should have scoffed at that and boycotted the table... I dunno. I bought a similar condition G1 Blast Off from him at TFCon 2010, and was quite pleased with it-- his prices might be noticeably steeper, but his stuff *is* consistently choice and you gotta admire his fastidiousness. Still... I do feel a bit odd about having gotten frickin' *Galvatron*, in just slightly less worthy condition, from a different table for just 5 bucks more... <shrugs>...

CHURG CW Wildrider: MOSC- $40 CDN

CHURG CW Slingshot: MOSC- $40 CDN

I bought these guys within the first five minutes of getting into the dealer room on Saturday morning. After a misfired attempt to haggle, I just paid the asking. I did a poor job of concealing my eagerness (they were the first ones I spotted... I foolishly thought they would be rare), so the guys at the table had me right where they wanted me. Felt a bit chumpish spending the rest of the weekend walking by 4 - 5 tables all offering them at $35 each... but oh well, at least now I don't have to worrying about snagging them at the Silver Snail or mucking about with on-line stores...

"Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye" #28 Annotated Script- $20 CDN

These things are awesome-- the mapped out music references alone are worth the price of admission. In retrospect, I wish I had snagged the other four (five?) issues that Mr. Roberts was offering, but by that point I was running a bit low on cash (those autograph/picture fees really start to add up!).

Not Pictured:
Livio Ramondelli "The Best of Optimus Prime" print (signed by Peter Cullen)
Livio Ramondelli Starscream print (signed by Mr. Ramondelli)
Marvin S. Mariano Rhinox print (signed by Richard Newman and Mr. Mariano)
Alex Milne Misfire et al. print (signed by Mr. Milne)

So yeah, not a huge haul, toy-wise, but I am content. I wasn't fast enough to grab a boxed Galvatron at TFCon 2010 before it got snapped up (I think it might have been priced at $50 or something ludicrous like that), so I feel vindicated now. "Webworld" is far and away my favourite episode of all time, so the lack of a vintage Galvy in my collection has been sorely felt.

Generations Metroplex (should have got the Takara one. Oh well.)
Generations Sky-Byte, Rattrap, Crosscut, and Waspinator.
Beast Hunters Megatron and Shockwave.
Transformers Adventure Nemesis Prime
Tokyo Toy Show Exclusive Black Convoy
Captain America figure
A Jedi who is so awesome he can hold the lightsaber by the blade.
Some miscellaneous Star Wars hero figures.
SNES Stunt Race FX cartridge.

Also Pictured: Some World of Nintendo stuff, purchased the day after TFcon during a return visit to the mall I used to frequent before moving away.

Decent take-away, but wish I got more for my money. Don't we all, though.

Sayonara.

Re: Post your TFcon Toronto Hauls 2015

This was the best TFCon yet! Great job everyone involved.

2015 Haul:
- Beast Machines Primal Prime
- Robots in Disguise Air Attack Optimus Primal
- Robots in Disguise Super Side Burn
- Robots in Disguise Super X-Brawn
- MP-21 Masterpiece Bumblebee
- Animated TFCC Cheetor
- Animated Elite Guard Prowl
- SNES X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse
- Streetpassing on my 3DS
- Michael McConnohie signature on Silent Hill SM

It was great meeting Michael McConnohie, the voice of legendary Silent Hill character Dr. Kaufmann. We had a good talk about that game and he was blown away to see it! He remembered it well and told me how creepy and messed up (in a good way) that script was. I couldn't agree more.

PS - Ninjatron, I beat your NSMB2 records. Did you beat mine?

Re: Post your TFcon Toronto Hauls 2015

So finally getting around to my TFCon haulage, a big thanks to those of you who helped me out along the way you know who you are.

Off the top a pic with Peter Cullen and his autograph in my Vault book.

From TFSource: KFC FOC Ultra Magnus shoulder stacks for the Takara Magnus

X2 Toys Strengthen Kit (Chrome Edition) for my Takara Hoist and Trailbreaker

and last but not least Unite Warriors Superion

Big thanks to Down Shift who muled me the AOE Autobots United 5 pack when they went on sale months ago at TRU, none were in my area at the time.

From A3U FP's version of Sonic Bomber, gorgeous figure I love it, it sits in front of me right now. Also grabbed TA Adams from them too, I thought he'd be more darker green all over but oh well he's still pretty.

From Nullray, MP Exhaust. Awesome again.

From the Chosen Prime, Alternity Banzai-Tron for $60 fiddly but it's my chosen Banzai-Tron. I also fan moded his robot mode

From Slayback Maketoys Ripper, Thanks so much Eric

Big shout out to Big Filipino for scoring me Botcon Battletrap, thanks again for helping me out.

Lastly but actually first my Charity Auction hauls: A custom Shockwave, Cryofire Predaking, Lego Joker for my son and I also got to get into the dealer room 15 minutes early.......ON SUNDAY :bang head:

Thanks to Cheers Ian for taking the Cullen photo and the Generations Sandstorm I bought from him, from his sale thread. His gun looks perfect with my Takara Sanstorm

Red face Re: Post your TFcon Toronto Hauls 2015

Dang it, I see lots of great stuff people here bought that I didn't sell.

No one bought my Predaturd. Oh well.

Was there anyone here who bought one or more of the Skylanders at my table for their kid(s)?

I was happy when a couple of people bought my 2 giant Beast Fire Predaking from the Prime series.
