Re: TRU.ca Titans Return preorders
Never again will I pre-order from TRU if I might be moving during the pre-order time.
Here's what happened:
1) I pre-ordered all the TR when we all did, at sale pricing.
2) We moved before things came in stock.
3) the morning after we moved I called TRU (all items were still in pre-order, this was weeks ago now) to change my address.
4) the CSR said the system can't do that, but they would try to setup a re-route. If I didn't hear more from them, then the re-route was successful.
5) couple weeks passed, no word from TRU so all seemed well.
6) yesterday they shipped everything to my old address.
I'm stunned at the incompetence of a) whoever built their e-commerce system and b) whoever maintains it with this glaring failure of being unable to update pre-orders. I'm actually going to write them an email, and I never do that.
Happy Epilogue: they did happen to send the items via Canada Post, so they were caught by Canada Posts mail forwarding system and they forwarded me the packages. I know they ship via a variety of couriers, so this was a lucky break. And yes it's the mail forwarding I bought that did it, I can tell by the names on the label.
