I did SAL Registered myself, and it was about a 2.5 week delivery.

My guess is that it's probably in Canada, but is stuck at Customs. Even if they don't charge you duty, they take their sweet frickin' time processing some stuff. I recently had a small component item I ordered off ebay coming out of China, and it took almost 3 months for me to receive it. I was just about to make a claim for items not received when it finally showed up in my mailbox. I can't imagine it was taking that long to get here (unless it's by boat), so I assume it was sitting at customs forever.

I learned my lesson when it comes to shipping. There's NO benefit in paying more for expedited shipping from Japan if it can be utterly thwarted by customs when it lands in Canada.

I agree. I usually pick the most basic (non-boat) option that has tracking and leave it at that. If it doesn't get stuck long at Customs, it's usually here within 3 weeks.

Finally got my Laserwave today. Registered SAL from AE.

Their packing was great and I know they had it shipped out of Japan quickly. It was held up in Canada Customs for more than a week and half.

I'm getting Shockwave, Ratchet and Play Arts Kai Faora (sp?) shipped together from HLJ. Decided to FedEx it (yeah I know I'll be paying customs going this route); only 200-300 yen more than EMS. Shipped Friday and should be here by latest Wednesday.

Same boat as you guys.

It hadn't even crossed my mind until i walked by and was admiring my Quakewave. It was then that I thought to myself, "Shouldn't Shockwave and Hot Rod be here by now?"

Re: MP-29 Shockwave... Shipping/Release Speculation and Enthusiasm Thread

I just called to find out where mine was, turns out it was attempted delivery to the wrong postal code. Now I have to pick it up from kingsway and Joyce instead of Hastings and Willingdon. Not happy about that at all, and the tax on it too.
