So who's getting the V-Bot?

I saw that it is on sale at Canadian Tire, I'm tempted... A few links :

The adventures of virtuous V-Bot

I'm just worried they will come out with a better or different mold too soon... I'd like to have it in black.

Oh wow I saw these at my TRU with one of those big anti theft alarm boxes (you know what I mean) wrapped on the toy. I didn't know it was that.... errr animated. It's still hella expensive.

Re: So who's getting the V-Bot?

Got the V-Bot yesterday (from La Source in Laval).

Pretty cool, especially watching the transformation. From robot to car : front grill goes up, wings come down, torso rotates, legs retracts. There's music playing while it transforms. When the transformation is complete, the wheels turn left and right quickly to match the end of the song. In robot mode, I don't think there are "hundreds of action moves" as they claim; there 3 pre-programmed sequences and 6 different moves (including the infamous v-chop, my favorite). Robot rolls and make robotic walking sounds as it moves.

Unfortunately, my first V-Bot refused to roll in car mode. Actually, it was rolling... a few inches at a time, as if the sinal was constantly cut. End result : it was always transforming back to robot mode itself after a while (without sounds). I exchanged it today, it should work fine.

EDIT : And the 2nd one doesn't work in car mode either! WTF? I'm returning it again.

Nevermind, both V-Bots were fine, my brand new batteries were the problem. Now it rocks! It's fun to watch it skid on the kitchen floor.
