Beast Wars /G1 question
I have this question that I never knew or they never mentioned, perhaps some of you might help. I always wondered when the Autobots and Decepticons crashed on Earth, did the Maximals and Predacons arrived right after? And how long did the Maximals and Predacons stayed on Earth before returning to Cybertron?
Thanks

Re: Beast Wars /G1 question
The Maximals and Predacons traveled through a quantum portal/time portal and crashed on prehistoric earth, during the period when the original autobots and decepticons had already crashed on earth but were still in the ARK and de-activated. Before humans came to prominence and awoke the original Autobots and Decepticons.

Re: Beast Wars /G1 question
The original Marvel comic there Ark was clearing a path through and asteroid field so that the planet cybertron could pass through without harm. The war had knocked cybertron out of its original orbit and sent hurtling through space. The Decepticons waited till the Autobots had expended their energon from the huge task of clearing the astoroids and suprise attacked them. With certain defeat at hand a last ditch effort to take the enemy with them the ark crash landed in prehistoric Earth and lay dormant till Mt St Hilary erupted and it all begain again...
Forgot to say...
Shockwave followed and then the dinobots where created as a defense against him. They went offline in and epic battle. I guess somewhere after that point and the volcano eruption the BW continuum would have started.
(Some would say there are major inconsistancies in the TF timelines)

Re: Beast Wars /G1 question
The Autobots and Decepticons crash land on Earth and enter stasis lock approximately 4 million BC(give or take a couple thousand years).
They then wake up in the year 1984.
The Maximals and Predacons are originally from a time 300 years after the end of the Great War(G1). Around the year 2306 or so.
They crashed onto Earth in either 180,000BC(3H) or 70,000BC(IDW) depending on the source material.
As for how long the actual Beast Wars were, I don't think it was ever explicitly stated. But judging by how the planet and the animal life change and evolve during the course of the show, especially the proto-humans, it must have been many, many years. Although what the hell they were doing during all that time. Who knows?

Re: Beast Wars /G1 question
So I think to closer address your central question, we can look at the fact that there were Protohumans.
The Ark was supposed have lain there for 4 million years before being awoken in G1.
Now best estimates for early tool use in human history date to around 2.6 million years ago, not quite half way through their sleep. Dinobot of course gave them weapons/ tools. So you could consider that to be the time. Clearly it wasn't shortly before they were pulled out of stasis, but then if you're getting that technical animals don't really line up to proper history in all cases.

Following Tigatron's lead and boning the natives.
(although it has been suggested that Tigatron's beast mode is actually a female white tiger. BW: ahead of its time in so many ways).

Ha! Yeah, I was going to make an allusion to slash.
I wonder if Airazor's falcon mode is male... could make for some interesting "positioning".

According to the wiki, in Japan Airazor was male.
Though let's roll with male beast mode in the NA version.
...
Then I think about Tigatron and Airazor getting eaten by a plant and ceremoniously booted off the show. Now I am sad.

Re: Beast Wars /G1 question
So what was going on in this episode? I could never watch this series because the animation was so horrid. I loved Beast Machines though.

So the Maximals (Beast Wars) were post G1 but time travelled to pre-G1? And somewhere along the line ended back post G1 with Beast Machines?
