I was terrified a while ago about my parental abilities. Then I realized that all children are messed up despite their parent's best intentions and best efforts.
I'm just going to do my best to raise my children as good as I can and not second-guess myself at every turn. I'll still second-guess, but over the larger things in their lives instead of really inconsequential things. And thankfully my wife will be a really awesome mother, so I've got that going for me too.
It took many years for me to get to this point. You'll get there.
Edit: After watching the complete game of Last of Us, I don't know if I have what it takes to be a parent anymore :/
