Character Collection

How many people have an interest in collecting all of the releases of a certain character?

I was thinking of focusing on the character of Arcee myself since she's one of my favorites, and she's relatively simple to buy every version of. (With possibly a few exceptions for exclusives.)

So how many members here collect every version of a certain character? And if you don't which character would you decide to collec all of?

And how many Arcee figures are there anyway?

I think this is a complete list of all the Hasbro versions of Arcee made.

Energon Arcee
Movie Arcee Scout
Movie Arcee Deluxe
Movie Arcee Sam's Club Battle Damage 3-Pack
RotF Arcee Legends
RotF Arcee Deluxe
RotF Arcee Human Alliance
RotF Arcee Fast Action Battler
HftD Arcee Rotorwash Rumble
DotM Arcee Target Deluxe
RotF Chromia Deluxe
RotF Chromia Human Alliance
RotF Chromia Robot Hero
Movie Elita-One Scout
HftD Elita-One Deluxe
DotM Elita-One Human Alliance
Animated Arcee
Prime FE Arcee
Prime RiD Arcee
Prime Legion Arcee
Prime NYCC Arcee
G1 Robot Heroes Arcee
Botcon Beast Wars Arcee

So, am I missing any? Most of those I wouldn't mind picking up, there's a few Takara only figures and 3rd party versions of the character I wouldn't mind picking up either, but I'm not really feeling the FAB version.

Re: Character Collection

My very first foray into collecting was an attempt at a Soundwave collection. It all started with Music Label, then the reissue, then WST. Unfortunately, that's when I realized that there weren't very many awesome Soundwave figures to collect and got bored. It all spiralled out of control from there and turned into the chaotic mess of completionism that it is today.

Re: Character Collection

I recently bought Botcon Elita-1 because her colors reminded me more of Arcee. I display her with my Arcees.

I collect all transforming versions of the following characters (straight redecos excluded):

Optimus Prime/Primal/all the different Prime-ish characters from Japan like Lio Convoy, Big Convoy, etc. (I've also included G1 & Botcon Pyro here)
Megatron/Galvatron (with Deathsaurus, G1 & Botcon Clench, Magmatron, etc.)
Starscream
Bumblebee
Soundwave
Shockwave
Devastator
Arcee
Ultra Magnus
Grimlock
Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime
Victory Saber (because of Victory Leo being Optimus Prime rebuilt)

Re: Character Collection

I collect pretty much all Primes, Soundwaves and Starscreams. Unfortunetly Megatrons in the past have been...less than stellar. I have an 8 foot long top shelf display for Primes, I tiered computer table for Starscreams and a shelf for SW and his minions...which isn't big enough actually.

Re: Character Collection

You're missing Heroes of cybertron Arcee and the medic repaint. If you're considering buying any of the 3rd party Arcees I'd advise avoiding the Impossible Toys Valkyrie. One of the biggest and least worth-it buys in my collection. The plastic is that of a plastic model kit.

Believe me I know, IGear's Delicate Warrior and Perfect Effect Arcee were what I was thinking of getting personally.

You should really consider branching out into Topspins. You know... diversify.
