ebay fees
Question for those that list items on ebay.
I've never sold anything on there (bought lots ) just wondering how much the fees are to list something.
Thanks.

Re: ebay fees
to list, if under $1 should only be .15. Final value fees is where they nail you. I sold something for about $300 and the FVF was abt $20.

Re: ebay fees
If you wait until the end of the month, it looks like the fees are going to be changing.

I haven't done the math yet to see how this actually works out, but something to be thinking about.

Re: ebay fees
ebay.ca and ebay.com have different promos and different reach. From ebay.ca you get 5 free listings every month (from what I remembered).
As for fees, by the end of the transaction (listing fees, final value fees, paypal fees, etc), you'll be out anywhere between 10-15% of the amount you received (sold item price+shipping price)

So that's why most shipping prices are inflated.

Re: ebay fees
That DOES NOT look good. Looks like another way of making it seem like it will be better to sell on ebay when really they'll be hitting you up for even more money after the auction's sold/over.

Re: ebay fees
sold my ipod for 148 bucks net. the paypal fee was about a buck fifty, and ebay took 13 dollars. Im guessing the ebay fee is about 10% of the total bid.

And don't forget that paypal takes 3% of all payments received by the seller too.

Re: ebay fees
They hit you coming and going.
Hmm might be better to just drop my asking price a tad and sell outside of ebay.
Thanks for the input and examples.
