Re: TF CON reviews, reports, picture links etc.

This was my first convention experience and it was very memorable!

- The dealer room was nice but there were not enough tupperware bins to dig into for my taste. And dealers, the fact that its a "bin" doesn't mean it has to be a total mess of non-bagged transformers, parts, accessories, McDonald toys, KOs, Hot Wheels and god knows what else.

- City Commanders were going for 100$ at the fansproject table. Those sets are now close to outnumbering the actual Classic Magnus figures... I predict prices for those might thus go even lower in the near future.

- So many Warpaths in the dealer room. I remember this guy going for 40-50$ on ebay last year. One seller brought a box full of them and other RTS figures for 10$ each.

- The 3rd party panel was like a bunch of kids opening their 1987 christmas Sears catalog at the same time! I absolutely want this Trailbreaker headrobots are going to make!

- Not a lot of people were at the Derrick J. Wyatt panel. Which is a shame as he's one of the main guys behing what I consider the best TF cartoon ever. Very informative and he showed us some concept art, including an alien Sari! Maybe he should have been scheduled a bit earlier...

- Finally got to see the TMNT Classics. Gorgeous.

- It was extremely cool to have non-transformers stuff on sunday, especially the Ghostbuster and Star Wars stuff.

- There were some 3d-printed figures on the Reprolabels table. Judging by what I saw 3d-printing is going to have quite an impact on the toy industry of it ever becomes mainstream.

- Thank you to those who sang me happy birthday at the bar saturday evening.

- Yes I turned 30 yesterday. Best birthday ever!

Sadly, Derrick got stuck the final hour before the dealer room closes, so a lot of people were looking for those last minute buys, it was a modest turn out.

Yeah. It was a great panel though.

Re: TF CON reviews, reports, picture links etc.

I really wanted to go to Derrick's panel, but it also overlapped the final shot at getting autographs from some of the guests.

I'm really hoping there's a bit less conflict in the schedule next year...

Maybe Derrick will come back and give a similar presentation some other year?

This may not be the proper place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone could help me find one of the dealers online. He was the dealer that had these sort of custom made Mighty Mug looking things and a bunch of Botcon toys. I'd really appreciate the help.

I can't tell you how glad I was to attend the Derrick J Wyatt panel, we got to see so much neat stuff that will probably never be seen elsewhere,

Including early animation for TFA, I eat that kind of stuff up.

Re: TF CON reviews, reports, picture links etc.

I wish that the attendees sneeze/cough into their sleeves, not in your face. I have a mild cold now, thanks

I also wished that the dealers who also put up promo sales on their website would extend the sale until midnight on Sunday at least.

I'm quite sure some of us are just about to go "Just shut up and take my money!" after not being able to find some of the TFs we wanted. I was sorta in that mindset, but was disappointed to see that the promo was already over. Not everybody has the time or the resources to surf the net when staying over the weekend.
