G1 Episode 1 Intro

Like the title says, I don't know if any of you remember the intro of the first episode when narrator Victor Caroli was doing the intro, when in one point he goes "The Autobots on the verge of extinction, battled valuably to survive" How can the Autobots be on the verge of extinction, when they outnumbered the Decepticons in season 1.

Toy wise you are basing this on? 1984 line

If you pay attention, the Seeker and "Reflector" body type is cloned multiple times in Episodes 1-3 alone to "fill out" the Decepticon army (Animation mistakes or not), not to mention off screen characters that would appear later in the series that have been there all along.

I always took it as "valiantly to survive".

Besides...Decepticons are mostly warriors...Autobots are mostly mechanics and scientists and pretty-bots.

In old video game terms, can 60 SCVs defeat 30 Dragoons?

Well in the old comics, he was more of a warrior. In the cartoon, he probably would be the equivalant of a "stock boy"...moving stuff from one warehouse on Cybertron to another.

Also Ironwave, you may recall even in the first ep...during the boarding party scene before the crash, Soundwave took on 3 Autobots (Sideswipe, Prowl, and Jazz) without breaking a sweat, after being decked from behind by Ironhide, he took a punch from Ratchet, then proceeded to toss him....was Soundwave overpowered in that scene? Or do you dismiss it because it was the 1st episode?

Also, the Decepticons are MUCH more powerful than the Autobots; so even if they were outnumbered, one Decepticon is easily the match for at least 3 Autobots.
