Re: Another third party Brainstorm in the works?
I'm annoyed we have 3 really cool third party brainstorms on the way and not one good galvatron from anyone, or anyone of a bunch of more loved characters.

Over 600 characters to choose from and three are doing the same one again? Come on lol, this is what takes the fun out of 3rd party,

On the bright side, 3 of the same means a few less 3P toys to grab my money right now!

I immediately lost faith into 3rd party making something unique and new.

At least they're moving away from the 84-85 cast...
Not feeling this one at all. And really Hasbro should be making one ><

Re: Another third party Brainstorm in the works?
I doubt it's a case of, "Hey, we know there's already a third party figure of X character coming out, but screw that, let's make our own."
I'm not gonna pretend that I have any insight into how production of a figure works out, but I'd be willing to guess that by the time Smart Robin was announced, Toyworld and MMC were probably already a ways into design and production of their respective versions of Brainstorm, but just got beaten to the punch of revealing theirs because they weren't as far into it. It might have just been a case of "Well, eff. We've already poured a lot of sweat into this figure. It'd be a waste of all the R&D we did on our Brainstorm, so why don't we just go through with production anyway and see what happens?"
That being said: whether or not there's a good reason for it, we're still being bombarded with multiple versions of the same characters at the end of the day. Two Devastators, Three Brainstorms, and FOUR Predakings? I hate the whole "taking a slot" argument because I feel it's inaccurate most of the time people bring it up in regards to various toylines, but I wish there was a way that something could be done so that various companies wouldn't be wasting so much resources on redundant releases.

Someone thankfully has Galvatron in the works.
This brainstorm is at the bottom of my list.
