know any good place to buy some takara transformers in tokyo?

Just wondering if anyone know any places in tokyo where can i find some good stuff? I only know the area akihabara but not sure which store to go.

they are usually selling for full retail price, japan rarely gives discounts unless it's clearance on older stuff.

You can try Toys R Us in DiverCity, they had a lot but not much selection (I was last there 2 years ago). Also Yodabashi Camera in Akibara has some stuff, but the prices are high.

there's a big Mandarake store in Akibahara that has Transformers, though a lot of it is old expensive stuff.

And CobraCommander, the Toys 'R' Us at Odaiba is in Aquapolis, not Diver City.

It depends on what you define as "good stuff"; was there two weeks ago and a lot of the stores were carrying the newer MPs especially BB and Wheeljack(albeit at retail pricing).

Now if you were looking for SH Figuarts Kamen Rider though, holy crap-load jeez.....

It really depends on what you're looking for, aside from the combiner stuff that you mentioned. If it's nothing in particular, then I would just go into literally every store in Akihabara that looks like it may sell Transformers.

Another large toy centric area in Tokyo is Nakano Broadway. They have a number of shops in there that sell Transformers, but mostly vintage and or used.

For new toys, Yodobashi and Bic Camera are everywhere and they sell them. Toys R Us there's 2 locations one in Odaiba as previously mentioned, another in Ikebukuro.

yodobashi camera usually has takara TF's. I was last in Tokyo 3 months ago, and they had the Armor Knight Optimus and the Takara AOE stuff. Mandarake usually has second hand stuff, but you can find some gems there, the one in Nakano Broadway is what I'd recommend. Actually just look at Nakano Broadway, there's lots of anime figures and there's a whole Mandarake dedicated to TF's there.
