I have a soft spot for Voyager ROTF Battle Blade Optimus Prime. Seems like the full package for me, and ain't too CRAZY on the scale either.

As for Megatron, you can't go wrong with the DOTM Voyager. LOVE IT.

Buster Prime, and if that one is out of your price range then ROTF Leader Prime. Leader Brawl, Leader Starscream and perhaps MP Movie Starscream. Human Alliance Bee, Barricade, and Jazz. And Legends Ravage.

The DotM deluxe Bumblebee has me in a tizzy and I may go out and pick one up. Also, Shockwave looks pretty neat, as well as Movie 1 Barricade and Blackout.

Any other suggestions?
I was largely in the same situation, being a G1 Fan I was only interested in G1 and CHUG.

But, I did pick up ROTF Brakedown, a highly underrated shelf warmer scout that is a nice homage to his G1 incarnation. I also had a lot of unexpected fun with ROTF Dirge.

Finally while neither G1 nor movie, RTS lugnut is pretty awesome, got him on sale for $15.00 at TRU a month ago....

Hope my 3 cents helps.

Buster Prime for sure.
I like Movie 1 Wreckage, Landmine, Blackout

ROTF Ravage (he doesn't ever transform, but he's cool and spikey) Bee, Sideways, Bludgeon.

Re: Must have Movie-verse TF toys?

Well when it comes to the movie verse I only really had a jones on for a few characters over the trilogy
TFTM
- Deluxe Camaro Bumblebee and Ultimate Bumblebee
(because the Camaro rocks and just had to have em)

TFROTF
- None (Wish I got Bruticus and Superion though)
Fansproject have made these items extremely cool now

TFDOTM
- Jetwing Prime from Takara
- The Wreckers trio
- Mirage/Dino (Ferrari) - If they ever release him....
- Soundwave (Mercedes) on the fence...

Re: Must have Movie-verse TF toys?

Which is the better voyager Megatron: ROTF or DOTM? I have the DOTM one, but hes a little small compared to my Battle Blades Prime and I'm wondering how the ROTF version stacks up to the newer one.

Re: Must have Movie-verse TF toys?

This is a big question because there are now three movies. You'll notice a pattern in mine: most of the molds I'm going to mention either didn't get much screen time or weren't even filmed. Also, ROTF scouts are awesome. I had largely written off that size class but ROTF lured me back with its inventive molds.

Transformers (Movie 1)

Dropkick/Salvage/Blowpipe -- one of my favorite molds ever. Dropkick is the better deco, but I bought Salvage too just because I love the mold.

Longarm/Hoist -- Great vehicle, great robot, great transformation and lots of details. I'd give the edge to the Hoist deco, but Longarm is full of personality.

Landmine/Armorhide/Comettor -- Another one of my favorite molds ever. Everything is superlative, plus one of the best easter eggs.

It's these three molds I think of whenever someone says they hate all the movie toys. I genuinely feel sorry they're missing out on Transformers that are exemplary in every way and a joy to transform.

ROTF

Ejector -- How can you hate a toaster that turns into a demon? So much fun.

Dirt Boss -- You don't see many forklifts. This one is also nifty in appearance and transformation.

Ransack/Divebomb -- Clever and satisfying. The edge goes to the Red Baron deco of Divebomb.

Skystalker/Sunspot -- So much personality, plus the built in weapons are badass and it attaches to Mindwipe/Strafe.

Skids/Mudflap Ice Cream Twins -- One of the weaker ones on this list. However, the cleverness and uniqueness make up for the lack of detail, scale, and paint. Worth getting.

Dirge/Jetblade -- An overlooked gem. We've seen the Deluxe plane so many times now, and this did it differently but extremely well.

Brawn/Fallback -- I love this mold and its interpretation of both characters. The curves, the colors -- it is a great homage and updating. The pistols with holsters are a plus. Edge goes to Brawn, but you can probably find Fallback relatively easily still (and maybe on sale at Wal-Mart).

Mindwipe/Strafe -- There are not many stealth bombers, and this is a particularly good one. The interaction with Skystalker/Sunspot elevates it, too. Edge to Mindwipe for more appropriate colors.

Seaspray/Deep Dive -- It's Seaspray with feet. 'Nuff said. And Seaspray all the way.

Bludgeon/Banzaitron -- Terrific vehicle mode, awesome samurai theme, and a tank transformation that is very different. I'd pick Banzaitron because the neon green is slightly better than Bludgeon's safety orange.

Terradive/Space Case -- Beautiful jet, impressive ocean-themed robot. Another jet transformation that we haven't seen before. I'd pick Space Case since I hate safety orange, but am I the only one who thinks this mold should be done in blue?

I'm leaving out most RtS since they're essentially non-movie Generations.

Dark of the Moon

I'm going to leave this one open, as I haven't opened everything I bought and I want to let it settle. The best of the best make themselves known over time. That said, there's one entry I know will be there:

Megatron -- Best of the movie Megatrons by a mile, even though it's a total departure vehicle wise. But it fits. The cape is logically silly but cool to look at and play with in both modes. Vehicle, robot, and transformation are all satisfying.

Finally, straddling two movies:

Deluxe Ratchet (either ROTF or DOTM) -- Voyager Ratchet is a good (if overused) mold, but Deluxe is just magic. You can choose either the green or red and white decos for either mold. If you go green, I'd give the edge to the DOTM mold.
