How many people like me, never know FOC Ultra Magnus's sword and gun can combine?
I didn't know until today. When I played with the sword, and found it can break into 2 pieces, and seems can form a bigger sword, but not secure.
Of course I was very excited, and announced this on a Chinese TF forums... And people laughed at me for not knowing this, which is more than 1 years old news.
It turns out FOC Ultra Magnus's sword and gun can combine into a bigger, cooler sword.
It was mentioned in the Takara version's instruction, but not on Hasbro's instruction.

I didn't care for that figure until I found out about the sword/gun gimmick and went off to buy it during a sale :P

I didn't care for the figure or the sword... until it was on a sale then I picked it up, thinking it will be a garbage and I was probably throwing my money away.
But actually turns out better than I thought.

I super glued the sword together because I didn't know about this and thought it was dumb it came apart so easily.

What! I knew the sword came apart but never realized it combined with the gun! Now I need my new house to be built faster so I can unpack him.

I had no idea that there was an official combined mode. I thought that the way the sword comes apart was weird, but that there was another yet-to-be-released figure that it would combine with.
Hasbro's instructions (while getting better in recent years) have been C-R-A-P for as long as I can remember (i.e. 1984).

This is why I make sure to watch video reviews from at least 3 different people for every figure I pick up. It's insane what the instructions miss or just get completely wrong.
That is a pretty cool weapon feature too. I like combining weapons.
