I too think his alt mode is terrible. But in all honestly he will spend little time in alt mode anyway. He'll be on display in his robot mode. Does it suck? Yeah. But IMO his robot mode is one of the best to come out in Generations/RTS, so at least he has that going for him.

Seriously, if you have anything remotely resembling a steady hand, DIY paint touchups can really make a figure stand out. Costs a couple bucks in materials, if that, and not much time at all per figure! This also allows you to have the figure just how you like it. Reprolabels are also your friend.

Thanks everybody for your input, it helped me decide to pass on upgrading with the united version of perceptor, I already have RTS and as it will most likely stay displayed in bot mode the upgrade is really kinda pointless all things considered.
