For deluxes (and maybe some voyagers), there are gundam stands for about $10 (most gundam hobby shops should sell them, you assemble them yourself):

i have the gundam one but how would you use it on FoC starscream for example

Well, if push comes to shove, people could always get one of those "third hands" used for tying flies, or soldering.

Well, it's kind of trial and error, see if there is a connector, and a spot on starscream's underside that it would press firmly into (or balance on as a less desirable result). Some figures work better than others, depending on what their underside looks like. I had a figure posed for the longest time on one of those stands...but for the life of me I can't remember who it was...

Go for the Tamashii Stages, they come in triples and they have pincer claws to hold stuff.
