Repaints & Minor Mods TFCon Toxin

I've actually had Headmasters TFCon Toxin kicking around since 2011, and I was recently fortunate enough to score a second Generation 1 Chromedome body for cheap locally. Needless to say, I finally decided to start the conversion process.


First order of business was to get the colour correct Tech Spec read out. So a donor Generation 1 Weirdwolf which was acquired in the same purchase lot was disassembled. Shockingly, all you needed to do in order to swap the Tech Spec read outs was punch a pin and change them over.



During the dismantling process, each screw was hand polished, and then the factory stickers were removed.

Now he's off to paint and body. lol

Huh, I never even thought about the need to swap out the specs...I would have just painted them.

Guess I should be on the lookout for a cheap Decepticon headmaster.

It was actually very straight forward. A small screw driver and hammer will easily pop the pin out and make the Tech Spec read outs easily transferable between the two units. This needs to be done, as you cannot swap the complete unit unfortunately, because as you can see, Chromedome's unit features small circular indentations. None the less, it took less than 5 minutes to accomplish.
