Generations 30th Anniversary Alternators??

With the new Generations 30th anniversary being released and trying to touch on all the TF lines over the last 30 years, wouldn't it be awesome if they threw in a few new Alternators? I know they have several molds they had started that I'd love to see finally see the light of day like the Megatron Cadillac XLR, or Bumblebee/Cliffjumper Volkwagon Beetles.

Am I alone in this?

ALTERNATORS!!!!!!

Also I always thought they should have used the Dodge Magnum for Megatron since they already had agreed licencing from Dodge (Viper, Ram SRT molds), and that since that car is so long you could easily hide away a nice long arm canon for Megatron in car mode...Also Magnum suits Megatron's original Gun mode alot... C'MON HASBRO LISTEN TO ME!!!

Don't hold your breath, Hasbro is getting away from complicated transformations and introducing less moving parts to their products due to increased manufacturing costs. That plus the licensing involved would make these totally cost-ineffective.

I thought they said they're moving towards having more TFs with simpler transformations, but will still have ones to satisfy fans who prefer the more complicated transformations as well.
Granted I hate complex transformations and thus never transform any of my Alternators (other than Rumble, and Hound).

ALTERNATORS!!!!!!!!! I'm so sad they cancelled that line. It's what got me back into collecting after years of not giving a shit about Transformers...

^This is what they said. We will still have more complex toys, but simpler ones will be thrown in the mix.

Anyway, for Alternators-like Transformers, I would count more on TakaraTomy than Hasbro.

Re: Generations 30th Anniversary Alternators??

Hasbro pretty much left the Alternators ship behind ages ago. Does anyone remember how horrible their distribution was for the Alternators line...I saw 1-4 then nothing for an extremly long time until they released the "bubble" ones

Wouldn't the Masterpiece line be scratching that itch, though? Especially with the announcement of Bumblebee?

You want Alternators, the Alternity and GT line is still running strong, it's just a click import away.

30th slots should be filled with stuff that has not seen a presence in awhile.

Yup running strong with basically the same 4 painted molds... one mold modified with extra skirts, hood and side scoops... I WANTS ME SOME NEW ALTERNATORS SCALE CARS WITH PLASTIC TIRES AND NO STUPID LITTLE ANIME FIGURES!
I'd take an Alternator Dodge Magnum in plastic over another Die Cast GTR..
