Re: Gotta ask - Do you play with your Transformers?
As a kid I liked to play hard with my toys - basically, see how far I could abuse them before outright breaking them.
Now I'm a lot more careful since I've got that collector mentality. However, I do still 'play' with them a lot. Basically everything from just posing them to driving car robots over my girlfriend's head. Also, lately I've just been taking all my largest and most valuable toys and placing them around the house in funny/stupid displays - friends always get a laugh out of it when they come over.

I echo Echo's sentiment. He described it well with his Rubik's cube analogy too. I also love Rubik's cube as a stressball.

Re: Gotta ask - Do you play with your Transformers?
you guys grew up??? thats a shame I'm still a kid when it comes to my toys.... a lot gentaler now on them though so as not to mark paint or decals but I do play with them (by that I mean transforming them no more head on collissions) they are toys and the fun in these little puzzel marvels is not to let them linger in there box/bubble cages but to enjoy them for the toys they are.so yeh I play with them but mostly due to the size of the collection its only a select few (mostly G1 and animated) that get constant attention I will say one thing I have learned over the last thirty is that if you transform 'em an leave'em on a shelf for long periods (years)they will seize up and brake when next you go to transform,.. so play with your collection keep them in working order other wise expect to have issues.

Re: Gotta ask - Do you play with your Transformers?
Define play lol, massive battle no, transforming, sure, at least a few a day. Occasional city building with all my g1 bases sometimes happens too.

Re: Gotta ask - Do you play with your Transformers?
Have them fight/battle or talk? No.
Transform them and pose them? Yes.

Re: Gotta ask - Do you play with your Transformers?
Depends on the figures. I like to play with the cheaper and more solid ones. Others, like MP, or ROTF Leader Prime, are just too delicate to be played with so I usually leave those MIB until I have a proper display.
I also don't play with my customs since the paint could get scraped off or smudged.

Re: Gotta ask - Do you play with your Transformers?
I find the opposite, the new mps are miles more solid than any deluxe made in the last couple years

Actually ROTF leader Prime was quite solidly built, but I still fear breaking it when it comes to that step where you take out his chest piece.
