I like the Classics/Universe idea. BUT I think it should be more geared towards the more mature fan. Action like in the original animated movie where characters could actually be damaged and or killed. As for the animation, I'm a fan of the mini movie that was over on transformers.com http://www.hasbro.com/monkeybartv/de...elect&aid=3265.

I agree, anything after a break will be better appreciated.
However, after a little break I would like to see an all new series, maybe set a few hundred years after Beast Machine, introduce some new characters and new mythologies with references to the past.

A 1920s film noir type detective show where an earth detective is on the trail of the transformers. The decepticons have come here to use the planet's resources, and the autobots have come here to stop them.

Granted, the transformations aren't the same as the G1 versions, but you're not going to get properly proportioned robot bodies without making some changes in the transformation scheme.

Uhmm... no, the Universe line is like a modern interpretation of the G1 figures, but my Encore 2.0 will entirely be stuck in the 80's... same 80's car... same original G1 robot design... but with today's brilliant toy engineering that can allow the bodies be more proportionate in their transformation to their robot mode. I guess it will be like Masterpiece but just in deluxe/voyager scales.

Cost might be prohibitive and there's always the possibility that it would turn into a Sarah Connor Chronicles type of show... just OK but not on par with the movies. But I'd still watch it!!! And my bias would probably make me love it too!!!

I always thought they needed to redo the entire original G1 series. Remove the errors, make it more accurate, etc... But the '86 movie is a good place to start. As an addendum to this, enhance the movie experience by detailing exactly how each bot died... In the movie, we see Wheeljack and cliffjumper dead, but we don't see how it happened. We never know what happened to Sideswipe and Sunstreaker either. I hope Huffer dies a horrible horrible death!!

As for a line, I say Hasbro should release the Masterpiece stateside (and in Canada too). Different paint-job or not, it would make it less expensive to collect this awesome line!!

Cliffjumper wasn't seen dead, that was Windcharger next to Wheeljack dead. The reason Cliffjumper was no longer on the show was because his voice actor quit. To cheer you up though we found out in the season 3 episode Dark Awakening that Huffer was also a casualty of the attack on Autobot City
