I've had enough of this!!

Canadian Dollar: $.98 US

Canadian Deluxes: $15
US Deluxes: $10

Canadian Voyagers: $30
US Voyagers: $20

Canadian Leaders: $60
US Leaders: $40

Now... I don't mind Americans, infact they're pretty cool. But why should we Canadians pay 1.5x the cost for Transformers when our currency is exactly the same?I know that Hasbro HQ is in Ontario.. so what? Does transportation and shipping cost make it 1.5x? I'll buy Transformers regardless of the price, but I hate this kind of atrocity.. I live in Alberta.. so I don't pay any PST, but still!

And I know this isn't just happening in Canada.. it's happening in Australia too!

This little rant will do absolutely nothing, but from what I remember, Deluxes were only $12 about 6 years ago. And the Canadian dollar as well as the Aussie is freaking on par! Like wtf!

Cheers(your fellow pissed off Canadian),

Hasbro in Ontario? Try Longueuil, Quebec.

But yeah, it sucks. But if you ask me, it's not us Canadians paying too much, it's them Americans not paying enough.

Hasbro is going to give some shit answers anyways. but i'm willing to bet this is the answer they will give:

"all the toys are been made in China, but it has to ship to the U.S. before it ships to Canada so it cost us double the shipping cost to ship it to Canada."

Re: I've had enough of this!!

Hasbro Canada is more or less a mid way point warehouse. manufacturing, design or anything like that is not done up here. So technically... in a way it does ship from Hasbro US. how exactly it works I'm not 100% sure, which I'm sure we'll find out at the Hasbro Panel. But again, hasbro canada is just a distributor.

excuse me??? give us shit answers? the whole point of this panel is to provide information on how distribution works. and what if it does need to go to the US first? what if That IS how it works? are you going to take everything they say as a lie? look into the facts before you assume.

Also, there may be additional tariffs and taxes on the importing that we may not be aware of.

Re: I've had enough of this!!

I only started collecting last year (Movie '07 hype). I never knew Deluxes were only $12 before. :/ That actually annoys me a lot. How much were voyager-sized figures before? IMO $30 is way too much for one, I'd prefer $25 at least ($10 more than Deluxes in Canada).
