There aren't many figures outside of MP that I would prefer Takara over hasbro when price is taken into account, but this is one for sure.

I just got my Jetfire today at Target in St-Eustache (QC) in perfect condition. There is just only one left. Who will be the lucky hunter for the last one!!! Thanks for the tip about Target for finding Jetfire!! I think my collection for Transformers is complete for this year!!

PS: I also went to the Wallmart in St-Eustache and there is nothing new there. No Jetfire or something interesting.

Re: Transformers Generations Jetfire released in Canadian retail

As I just posted in the Quebec thread, I just got mine by getting a runaround at the Gatineau store but did manage to get the last one at the Billing's Bridge location in Ottawa set aside for me.

Just took it out, transformed him, and I really regret getting it. For 50$+, he is NOT worth it. This is the cheapest plastic I've ever seen on a Transformer. The transformation is poor, with lot's of robot parts showing in the undercarriage.

Compared to this, the last Jetfire (2006 Voyager) rehash is so vastly superior that I'm just lost for words.

The pictures looked so great, but I cannot believe how cheap he is. I'm afraid that he'll just snap in just about every part.

I know he is very hollow, but didn't know he is this bad.

I don't think there's a single non-hollow part, it's like they were afraid to use any plastic.

I've bought dollar store robots that are better plastic.

In robot mode, he does hold fairly well, but the plane mode, the arms and legs barely fit, if not for additional pegs, the legs would pop out or hang loose.

The mold/plastic is so cheap that looking at the top of the wings, you can see distortion in the plastic where the peg-holes are on the other side.

I'd be deathly afraid to drop it as if feels like it would shatter like a thin piece of glass. Compared to the original (Macross) Jetfire, I could use that one to bang nails in wood, this one, I'd be afraid to mix jello with it (ok, that's possibly a bit much, but not by that much)

I've actually been debating returning it and getting my money back, and for me to say such a thing as transforming planes are my absolute favorites, is just wrong.

Re: Transformers Generations Jetfire released in Canadian retail

Just got him today. I agree that for this price he should be made of sterner stuff, but I like his proportions far better compared to the stumpy big headed voyager. And he's surprisingly stable, even with his boosters up. Plus his giant combined chrome cannon of doom looks pretty badass. If he had just a bit more beef, and wrist swivels I'd call him near perfect. I can't wait to see what Reprolabels comes up with for him.

Re: Transformers Generations Jetfire released in Canadian retail

Wow.
Talk about two opposing opinions.

One near perfect and one wouldnt mix with jello...
