What the slag is up with Toys 'R' Us?

It's now the middle of february and pegs have been empty since sometime in december! No restock for the holidays season, no stock for Boxing Day, no Beast Hunter stock, nothing. In fact I'm pretty sure the LAST time new stock came into the store was when FOC wave 1 came out.

Wal-Marts have smaller Transformers section usually and they got plenty of new stock.

Is it a problem with Hasbro? Problem with Toys 'R' Us themselves? Are the rest of the products available at TRU getting restocked? It can't be the january inventory, it's FEBRUARY!

I bet the pegs are getting dusty!

I guess it looks worse for us in Quebec since we didn't get any GDOs or Masterpiece () but that just doesn't feel like a normal situation.

My TRU just restocked their pegs after being barren for the last month with all new DOTM deluxes if that'll make you feel better.

Pretty bad for a store dedicated to toys, they seldom carry a complete line of anything any more and now are behind the chains for new product except for hasbros dumping of DOTM, might as well close down and go all babysrus sad really I can remember a time when they sold only toys,... wally has had beast hunters since end of Jan

It is crazy... and it just doesn't make sense. I thought it was just my TRU, but it's everywhere.

I don't understand how a store that sells toys, doesn't have Transformers... sure they have more GI Joe stuff (which normally isn't big here in Canada) than transformers.

Who at HQ is making these horrible decisions...

The worst was boxing day, how they had the nerve to advertize 40% off Transformers and have nothing in stock was beyond me...

I wonder to myself if the poor sales of those Prime figures (the bees in particular) might have caused some kind of retaliation from someone higher up in TRU. Kind of like "stick us with crap toys that won't sell? Fine, we won't stock Transformers toys for 6 months."

It's one way TRU could "get back" at Hasbro, because remember TRU has lots of other toylines to sell, but Hasbro has limited stores that they can distribute too.

I live in a small town and the Toys R Us express here just closed. It is very odd, that the one thing I'm interested in doesn't restock .... or the peg-warmers aren't moved for items in demand.
At least I'm savin' money.

Yea, I pretty much gave up on TRU - have been finding local shops like Silver Snail are much better at rotating stock - you pay a slightly higher premium but its worth it if there is a figure you're really after.

Tru doesnt even have much Star Wars neither.

The closest TRU from me, shrunk the Transformers section by 1/3 by just placing vintage Millennium Falcons. With very little option to purchasing anything.
