ROTF Jetfire Asia Exclusive 2-Pack Pictorial Review

Hey guys,

As promised (sorry Pascal!), here is the review of this repaint. I must say, he looks friggin awesome! Waaay better than the wierd blue one from before. Just looks more natural. I never opened my other ROTF Jetfire, so I never knew what a bastard this guy is to transform. No wonder they made him an old man, he's super ornery when you transform him.

Anyway, on with the show!

Really nice packaging. Could easily be displayed in box

Bios and box back:

Jetfire and prime, outside of the plastic:

As you can see, alot of the little 'tech' parts are now highly detailed, and the blue plastic is now all brown. he looks great displayed on his own!

His feet and legs are a real highlight:

Jetfires chest is now mostly metallic brown with gold highlights instead of yellow:

The arms have a lot of little details as well, the silver looks awesome with the metallic brown. He just looks way more robot-y:

His canopy is blue and lights up red:

Re: ROTF Jetfire Asia Exclusive 2-Pack Pictorial Review

The forearms looks really nice, along with the silver turbine-thing on the back of his hand:

His legs look great too, and the mech-alive feature in his legs is painted metallic gold and stands out a lot better:

("Bend over Jetfire"... "Nooo, please don't! I'm not wearing anything under me kilt!") His jet-parts remain unchanged:

Of course, the gatling gun looks great, leaning on his cane, he megerly lifts his arm and points a... GATLING GUN at you:

Man this guy is a bitch to transform. Took me like half an hour, but I *AM* working one handed! His robot kibble seems to blend in a lot better when it's this colour:

Of course the detailing stands out a lot more, but it just looks like 'tech' bits under the jet:

Seems to stand out less than the blue under the jet:

Even looking up:

The top of him seems unchanged though:

So there you have it. Grumpy-ass old man gets a new set of clothes from marks and spencer. And yes, 'he name is still Jetfire!' 'Woosh!'

Thanks man! I'll probably buy it at least for Prime, but I might end up keeping Jetfire as well, I like the extra paint apps.

Ya just don't notice it as much on Hasbro's poorly painted cousins.

I painted movie 1's Starscreamer's feet orange on the bottom to look like jet flames

I like the first Buster release better, nice to have one with and one without the faceplate. Jetfire's not worth the extra costs either.
