Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. Step away, ignore website for a while when I need to, then come back when ready. Although, I have a ton of preorders coming in during the next 30 days, so it'll be hard to keep my mind off toys, haha

I have a foolproof way of stepping back from time to time. My credit card gets declined! Works 100%

I think changes like these require the construction of a comprehensive counter-measure, rather than a single tactic.

Arbitrary restrictions are just one piece. Another one is apathy. I've combined the two so that I start with high restrictions, and then when something falls outside of my possibilities, I get sour grapes and stop caring.

I could still do with some more components though. Perhaps some habits like limiting size so that buying new figures requires the selling of old ones. rationing to dollar or item amount over time. having a lifestyle that demands very limited personal possessions.
