Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Yeah, technically the shipper's fault but the whole process is a huge pain in the ass. I hate dealing with customs no matter the reason.

I saw a package in transit from BBTS with a fee of $16 for a $55 toy. Feel bad for the person on the receiving end

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Damn, that's sucky. Still not as bad as couriers though... I've seen customs brokerage & taxes costing more than the value of the item. Not even worth it at that point.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Does anyone have any experience using Greyhound's Courier Service? I'm shipping some of my possessions back to Ontario and wondering how their service is.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
I wouldn't recommend it unless everything else is cost-prohibitive. I've heard many stories of packages being lost or extremely late. Once I was taking the Greyhound in the middle of winter and saw a parcel that had been left on the top a bin in the bus yard... who knows how long it had been there.
Avoid Greyhound at all costs, and that includes for passenger use as well. But I've had bad experiences, so maybe I'm a little biased.

I recently just paid duty of $16 for a package that is $50usd done by the Missausaga customs. I haven't paid duty for that low of a value for at least 5 or 6 years.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Well, yes, but you can encounter dangerous crazies in many areas of life. Greyhound just happens to have a higher concentration.
My reasons can be elaborately explained, but it all boils down to this: Your ticket purchase does not guarantee you a seat on the bus.

I've used Greyhound courier service many times over the past few years between Ontario and BC . I haven't had any problems. I've only shipped 2 or 3 good sized boxes at a time, but never had damage or lost issues. Mind you I try to avoid shipping in the winter months.
That's my 2 cents.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Do we have any ideas whatsoever when the Hasbro Generations Springer will go on sale/clearance?
I got mine off Amazon 24 June 2013 and out of the box he had a stress mark preventing an area from doing what it's supposed to. It's not OMG-DEFECTIVE-TOY, but it is annoying.
